I had a marvelous chat with the supernally-named Freeborn, coming to me out of Nigeria, about Zaidy's War.
Freeborn (LOVE the name!) zeroed in on my relationship with my hero - eliding war stories entirely, and focusing on relationships. What of him that he taught me courses through me? What about his survival informs my own life and existence and purpose? What of his life before the war informed his life after the war? Would Zaidy be proud of me? Would he say it? What and how would he say it? It was a heartwarming and endearing line of conversation and thinking, and it was refreshing and surprising and welcome.
And it was my 40th podcast, and my 14th of the year, and Robert J Wolf, I'm coming for your record!
