Program #71, Book Talk #35: Hadassah, Monroe, NJ
I had a wonderful evening speaking to a very large room of good-natured folks who took in the story of Zaidy's War with unparalleled attentiveness.
It was also an opportunity to express gratitude to the WIZO-Hadassah organization for helping my grandparents set up shop in Israel when they arrived from Romania in 1951.
At the conclusion of the event, during the book signing portion, I got truckloads of heartfelt compliments from the attendees, including this one I remember verbatim:
"Martin, that was wonderful. Unlike other speakers who make it all about them, you made it about the story. You're a great storyteller."
Why thank you! And thanks for having me!
