I had a focused conversation with Michael R. Herst about Zaidy's War.
We didn't home in too much on the details of Zaidy's experiences, though we certainly visited them. Rather, we zeroed in on my responsibility as a storyteller, the burden of proper research, the lessons learned from an improbable survivalist attitude, and we finished in a familiar spot: the obligation of carrying forth the message of Never Again in a collapsing world who is either ready to tolerate it again, or encourage it forth. Mankind is hereby warned.
Michael is a former police sergeant, and he lasered in on questions that matter. Once again, I found myself quoting giants such as philosophers and political thinkers. It became quite an Ecclesiastical conversation. Good thing I study it often and internalize it at every turn.
Good chat, good man, good time.
